Is it ok to wear a wedding dress with a train or any wedding dress for that matter for a wedding vow renewal?
I did not have a traditonal wedding and my husband and i want to renew our vows. But since I didnt get to have a wedding dress i would like to do the dress and the whole nine hards for our renewal. Would that be ok since Im already married?

- I say that you can wear whatever you want :)
- According to the etiquette guides in the wedding planning class I took, no... the vow renewal is not a wedding so the gown, attendants, all the bells and whistles are not appropriate. It's a renewal of your existing vows, not a wedding do-over. Sorry.
- why not - think it is wonderful idea you get your dress with the train :) it is a special day - renewing :) enjoy
- yes! its a celebration of your commitment to each other...do it the way you want...have fun and kudos to you!
- Old tradition: no white, no veil, no train. New way: whatever you want. That show on Dish with the people who have 18 kids, they are doing a 25th anniversary renewal, her dress is white and it looked like it had a train. She is about as far from virginal as it gets, and if she can wear white, anyone can. If you want to have a big party, and do all the traditions like cutting the cake, first dance, I would.
