Do police officers wear their best looking uniform for wedding ceremonies?

My question is, do police officers wear their "best" uniform for wedding ceremonies, much like the military can wear their "best" uniform for wedding ceremonies. Also, what are the different types of called, "Dress a/b/c?"

1. Police officers do have a ceremonial outfit for things like funerals of fellow officers and awards, so they could wear the suit if they wanted but some of the officers friends at the wedding should where the same as to not make the officer look stupid.
2. They do have a dress uniform but if they are drinking they cannot wear it so many wear tuxes to their weddings.
3. I've attended only 2 weddings where the groom was a police officer and neither wore a uniform. I think perhaps, in my area anyway, the wearing of a uniform is only done by those in the active military.
4. Police, like military men, have a seperate "Dress" uniform used for such occasions.
