How does it work if you have a civil ceremony and then a wedding about a year later?
When do you have the bridal party, honeymoon.....and so on

- For me the wedding never happened so good luck. Now divorced.
- My daughter's friend just went thru this. They got pregnant and didn't want to have a church wedding while she was pregnant, so they went to the courthouse and had a civil wedding, then had the "real" wedding about 13 months later. It was a church wedding complete with 8 bridesmaids & groomsmen. She had been married previously, so her 9 year old daughter was her flower girl or a Jr. Bridesmaid or something like that. Anyway, you can do the big church wedding complete with the bridal party, reception, then the honeymoon maybe up to a year after the civil ceremony.
- I am in the same situation. I had a civil ceremony last year. now i am planning my real wedding for next year on the same day we originally got married..i always wanted a some what big wedding..if you want to do it. go ahead.. there is nothing wrong with that.
